Sarah Jessica Parker is finally going to launch her shoe line Vogue reports. Her ‘Sex and the City’ Carrie Bradshaw character and her extensive shoe collection has made thousands of fashionistas across the world both happy and envious. So as the actress herself notes:
''In a silly way, I think it’s what people have expected of me most because of Carrie Bradshaw.''Partnered with George Malkemus, the CEO at Manolo Blahnik, whose shoes Carrie Bradshaw coveted and cherished in the series, Parker is to launch a shoe and bag line exclusively at Nordstrom early next year and will throw in some trenches to help create a full look. she says the shoes will be in the style of Maud Frizon and Charles Jourdan and will be produced in Europe and New York. The actress says the focus is on the unusual color combinations.
The price range is somewhere in the middle with $200 to $300 for shoes which is about N30,000 to N45,000 and under $700 for bags.
Here’s what she had to say about what to expect from the bags:
''And in terms of bags, thinking about that period of the seventies into the eighties, what those women were carrying, taking away the bells and the whistles and hardware and really making it about the bag.''It is said to be launched next year 2014, and i am waiting to see what they will look like, as we all know and would agree that sarah jessica parker is a style icon, my fingers are crossed.
